Bill Plympton’s unique animation style and off-beat sense of humor have earned him acclaim and awards all around the globe. In today’s cinema dominated by computer-generated imagery, Bill personally draws and colors each film still by hand, as many as 30,000 for a feature-length film.

Bill Plympton has been nominated twice for an Academy Award; Your Face (1987) and Guard Dog (2004), and twice for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival (Push Comes to Shove, 1991; Your Face, 1987). Awards include the Jury Prize and Canal+ Award at the Cannes Film Festival (Push Comes to Shove, 1991; Eat, 2001). Feature credits include In Tune, Hair High, and Mutant Aliens; shorts, Guide Dog (2006) and Plymptoons (1990).
