Karen, a receptionist at a repair shop, gets a call from the long gone father. Posing as a mechanic, Karen sets out with her friend Meagan to meet the father she hasn’t seen in years. By the end of the day, Karen will also encounter her father’s lover, a sister addicted to off-track betting, a brother struggling with grade school heartache and bullies, a broken refrigerator and a load of fireworks!
