  • Membership dollars are approximately 20% of the CAC’s budget and vital to the health and growth of the Cinema.
  • The Cinema pays 50% of the price of each ticket to film distributors. 100% of your membership fees stay right in our independent community cinema.
  • Having a strong membership helps the CAC to demonstrate to corporate, government and foundation funders that our community cares about the CAC’s work. The more members we have, the easier it is to attract support from other sources.
  • Membership makes you part of the Cinema Arts Centre family.

The Vic Skolnick Life of the Cinema Campaign is our annual appeal for program and operating support.  When our Co-Founder and Co-Director died in June 2010, we decided to name our annual campaign for him because giving to the campaign is a clear and direct way for members and supporters to have a strong impact on the Life of the Cinema.  Your fully tax-deductible gift helps us to choose programs based on artistic and social merit and keep admission and basic membership prices low.   Click here to make your donation today.

You guys took a poor kid from the station with very limited resources and handed him access to the world. From the very start with the sheet on the wall to this very day you have given me more than I could ever convey - CAC Member
